These goofy girls are my cute nieces. We all had fun at Black Hawk! As always. I am not very good at taking pictures with people in it but this is probably my best one yet.
On our way down from Black Hawk today, I pulled off and picked some sunflowers for Grandpa. I love Black Hawk, and I will always have the best time up there, but there is always something missing from it now Grandpa is gone. He still comes with us though.
Just before we ate breakfast the storm cleared up and this is the same mountain the storm was rolling over. Then it came back after breakfast and hailed and snowed.
Our last night at Black Hawk this storm came over us pretty quickly. I giand cloud just came in and settled itself in our campground. It rained, and hailed all night long. It did it again as we were about to leave the next day. Even the temperatures dropped down into the 30's. It was fun!
There is this meadow we hike down to and we call it our cabin site. It is a very beautiful area with mountains surrounding you on all sides. This is the view out into the canyons were our cabin would be.
Up Payson Canyon, there is a Sheen Trail and it leads to this mountain you see of in the distance. We call it Bradford Mountain. Black Hawk, has been a family tradition every Fathers Day and Labor Day weekends for the last 30 years.
